The buy in is $90. It still breaks down to $5 / week but there are 18 weeks now instead of 17. You can pay by PayPal or check.
If you are paying with PayPal...
PayPal takes a little cut of the money so I have to add that in if you are paying that way. I tried to get around the fee that PayPal adds, but since my account is a business account it won't let me. The fee is out of my control, so if you don't want to pay it, please just send me a check.
For the last several years, I added $3 to anyone paying the buy in via PayPal. The extra $3 covered the chunk PayPal took out almost to the penny. PayPal has changed their fee schedule. They now take $0.49 + 3.49% of every transaction. So, I've adjusted the PayPal buy-in amount accordingly. Its now $93.76.
Many of you have asked about taking other forms of payment (Venmo, CashApp, etc). About three years ago, the online payment companies started tracking all these transactions and made me report them as income and sending me a tax statment at the end of the year. For simplicity, I'd prefer to only have to deal with one online payment company.
